Pride Fort Lauderdale

Pride Fort Lauderdale is Florida's oldest Pride celebration, drawing visitors from across the country to one of the most LGBTQ-welcoming cities in the South. The event spans multiple days with a parade, beach parties, live entertainment, and community events spread across Greater Fort Lauderdale. Our properties in Plantation and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea are well-placed for getting to the main venues.

When Is It?

Pride Fort Lauderdale typically takes place in the spring. Check pridefortlauderdale.org for confirmed dates, the parade route, and the full event schedule each year.

What's On

The celebration includes a Pride parade through downtown Fort Lauderdale, beach parties along A1A, live music, drag performances, and community gatherings at venues across the city. Fort Lauderdale's Wilton Manors neighborhood, just north of downtown, is a hub of activity throughout Pride weekend with bars, restaurants, and street events.

Fort Lauderdale as a Pride Destination

Fort Lauderdale has a long history as a welcoming destination for LGBTQ travelers. The beach, the Intracoastal, and the dining and nightlife scene in Wilton Manors make it a natural fit for a long weekend. Many visitors extend their stay before or after the main Pride events to enjoy the city at a slower pace.

Tips

  • Book accommodation early. Pride weekend is one of the busiest of the year in Fort Lauderdale.
  • Wilton Manors is about 15 minutes from our Plantation properties and worth a visit any night of the week.
  • The parade route and beach party locations can shift year to year. Check the official site for the latest details.
