Brazilian Festival Fort Lauderdale

Every October, Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach hosts the Brazilian Festival, one of South Florida's biggest cultural celebrations. The one-day event brings the music, food, and traditions of Brazil to Broward County, with live performances, capoeira demonstrations, a carnival parade, artisan vendors, and a kids zone. Our properties in Plantation are about 20 minutes away.

When Is It?

The festival takes place in mid-October each year, typically around October 17. Check brazilianfestival.org for confirmed dates and the performer lineup.

What to Expect

The main stage features Brazilian music acts across multiple genres, from samba and forró to axé and pagode. Past performers have included Paula Lima and Negritude Junior. Off the main stage, capoeira groups perform throughout the day, a carnival parade winds through the park, and food vendors serve Brazilian dishes alongside caipirinhas and other drinks. The artisan market is worth a browse for handmade goods and Brazilian imports.

Getting There

Quiet Waters Park is in Deerfield Beach, about 20 minutes north of our Plantation properties. Parking is available at the park but fills up. Arriving early or carpooling is the easiest approach. Check the festival site for shuttle options from nearby lots.

Tips

  • Tickets are required for entry. Buy in advance at brazilianfestival.org to avoid lines at the gate.
  • The festival runs through the evening. Bring layers if you're staying for the later sets.
  • The kids zone makes it a solid family outing, but the evening performances skew to an older crowd.
