Life Time Miami Marathon — January 31

The Life Time Miami Marathon is one of the largest running events in the Southeast, drawing over 25,000 runners from more than 100 countries each January. The course winds through Miami's most iconic neighborhoods — South Beach, Coconut Grove, Brickell — finishing at Bayfront Park downtown.

Race Details

The race is held annually on January 31st. Both a full marathon and a half marathon are offered, along with a 5K the day before. Registration opens months in advance and sells out — if you're running, book your accommodation at the same time.

Fort Lauderdale as Your Base

Fort Lauderdale is about 30 miles north of the start line, making it a comfortable base for the weekend. You get more room to spread out, easier parking, and beach access to shake out your legs the day before the race. Rideshare or the Brightline train gets you into Miami without the hassle of race-day traffic.

For Spectators

The course is lined with spectator spots throughout, and the finish line at Bayfront Park is a great place to cheer. Pair the trip with a night on South Beach or a meal in Wynwood and make a full weekend of it.
