Casinos & Gambling Near Plantation FL
South Florida has some of the best casino options in the Southeast, and several are within easy reach of Plantation and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood
The big one. About 20 minutes from Plantation, the Hard Rock Hollywood is one of the largest casinos in the country. The guitar-shaped hotel tower is hard to miss. Inside: 3,000+ slot machines, 180 table games, a poker room that runs 24/7, and a sportsbook. The dining options are serious — Council Oak Steaks & Seafood is the best table in the building. On weekends the casino floor gets loud and crowded, which is either the point or the reason to go on a Tuesday.
Seminole Casino Coconut Creek
About 25 minutes northwest of Plantation. Smaller and more relaxed than the Hard Rock, with a good poker room and slots. The Sorrisi restaurant inside is a solid Italian option if you're staying for dinner. Less of a scene, more of a casino.
Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park
About 15 minutes north. Slots and live harness racing — one of the few tracks in Florida still running live races. The combination of the casino floor and the track makes for a different kind of night out. The racing schedule runs most of the year; check their site for post times.
Mardi Gras Casino
In Hallandale Beach, about 20 minutes south. Slots and poker, plus a poker room with daily tournaments. Smaller operation, but the poker room has a loyal local following and the buy-ins are reasonable.
Tips
All Seminole casinos are 21+. The Hard Rock Hollywood validates parking. If you're going on a weekend, the Hard Rock is worth the drive for the full experience — the poker room alone draws serious players from across the state.
